Second Wind ...

Tuesday, August 17 we returned to our beautiful Plaza Bolivar and Laura Alejandra had fun feeding the pigeons.

The journey of adoption is a wonderful journey that allows us to realize a dream of having a child. But there is always a moment during this trip that has nothing to paradise.

''I can not wait to go home!''That thought never left my mind as the ambulance took me to the emergency hospital in Santa Marta. It began Sunday morning when mom woke up with an unpleasant feeling of deja vu ... that digestion, which decided not to do his job. It knows me indigestion since I suffer from various problems for several years. But it's hard when this happens and we're in another country, with two children and no family to help us. After several Gravol and Immodium the problem is not resolved. The next night it's Dad who begins to suffer. In the early morning daddy takes Karen to a ballad to allow mom a little rest. During his absence mom suddenly suffers from horrible stomach cramps that takes her breath away and make him almost lose consciousness. I therefore use the little energy I have left to pick up the phone and request an ambulance. Upon arrival, Laura is going to open the door. After treatment with antibiotics at the hospital, I felt better and I entered the hotel in the afternoon. Dad is very ill and the nurse from the hotel takes care of him. The hotel manager even comes to visit us, worried that two customers are sick.

The days are very hard, eat little and we are very tired. Mom has a hard back tears for a few days. Dad has an iron will keep the good mood. It is in these moments that the adoption is difficult. It's lonely and it's hard to see light at the end of the tunnel. We must therefore find the courage one day or another and start a countdown.
