Dark Stool & Red Wine

RICK GRIFFIN / SOUTH OMO BOB GONE MAD

I hesitated before posting this scanner and comics unearthed in a Current number of the # 35 of 1973, the special comic book for the summer .
Signed by the legendary Rick Griffin and published in Zap Comix in the U.S., it suffers from the export of a typical defect bands Current: lettering.
BLABLA SURFACE / / / I do not know how the guys were doing Novapress but they were not able to write correctly in a bubble. Maybe it was the fault of the smoky atmosphere of hemp Bizot, blame the truck that emptied the Magma or King Crimson to bottom, the fault Bernard Kouchner, who had already deposit their bags of rice in the room Drafting or the fault Yves Fremion who organized the demonstration of anti-nuclear but the guys at present, too distracted, too stoned, could not normal letters, those idiots. On the Crumb or Shelton, it does not bother me one bit but on the Rick Griffin, licked the possible, it task is / / / OVER
So I hesitated, hesitated, hesitated, and then I decided because, after all, this band, it is sublime . And most importantly, Current color does require popping the hallucinatory trip in four-color '(whereas the original U.S. was in black and white)

Anyway, I hope, despite the icky blocks of text, it will you kick.
Gone South Omo Bob , it tells nothing unusual (it's just a guy on acid who draws stuff of cowboys on acid listening to the Grateful Dead) but Bob Gone South Omo is beautiful as a flower truck wolkswagen and it very personally, I'm enough.
As Rick Griffin, illustrator underground of the late sixties and poster San Franciscans during the golden age of acid rock west coast, here is the little squib that Jacques Sadoul consecrated him in 1976 as a Glance the Comic (J'ai Lu # D-75)
ACTUALLY I'M REALLY
SPACED! And for fans, know that there is also a site dedicated to this oddball graphic rickgriffinink.com .
